Answer: Yes bromo models with "E" or "CE" in the suffix are acoustic / electric models and have a battery. The battery is located near the jack where the cord is plugged in see photo.
The battery type is 9v. Please be sure to orient the batter such at the larger terminal matches up with the larger slot (see photo). Note that the pickup is activated when the cord is plugged in, so be sure to unplug the cord after each use to prevent battery drain.
