Got this guitar and kit for my 8 year old. The size is perfect and the weight isn't too heavy. The amp works great with the headphones. Overall great kit. - Pablo Garibay
I am a longtime guitar player spoiled by the exceptional instruments I personally own. I wanted a 1/2 size guitar for my 3-yr old son. I tried two other models that were twice as expensive as this one, and both were terrible (the intonation was horribly off on one, and the neck was warped on the other). I tried this one with low expectations, given the price, and could not be more impressed. It is a very playable, fully functional electric guitar for $85. It features chrome covered tuning pegs and three pickups, which none of the other models have (most are open pegged and have a single pickup). I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a beginner instrument. It's priced as a toy, but plays like a much more expensive legitimate guitar. Do be aware that the "amplifier" it includes is only for headphones, there is no external speaker. - New Hampshire
This guitar was a Christmas present to my 5yr old... even though he wanted a "blue" First Act brand guitar he LOVED this one. Big jump in quality, it looks cool and sounds great. It fits him perfectly with room to grow. "comes with POCKET Amp that only works with headphones (headphones included)". The pocket Amp does not "suck" when you know what to expect. This guitar package is still worth the price. We are only into the 1st few chapters of the DVD but I love it... great father-son time and is presented as if you are sitting with an instructor. I am following with my acoustic, son picks on his SX. The DVD has Acoustic, Electric, and Bass menu options. The gig bag is perfect and holds everything nicely. - "jsonic "

Question: How much does the guitar weigh?
Answer: Only 7 pounds!
Question: Is the tremolo bar removable?
Answer: Yes indeed!
